The Berlin Autism Centre is a young, dynamic provider. We were founded in 2026 to offer specialised outpatient integration support for children and young people on the autism spectrum across Berlin.

Our mission
We support children and young people on the autism spectrum – with and without additional (comorbid) conditions – individually, close to everyday life and with the goal of independence, development and social participation.
At the heart of our work is development-oriented support that combines educational, therapeutic and community perspectives and actively involves parents and caregivers. We work in a structured, resource-oriented, inclusive and evidence-based way, grounded in scientifically recognised methods of autism-specific support.
Our aim is to strengthen children and young people, help them unfold their abilities, build confidence and achieve more independence step by step – in everyday life, in the family, at school and in their social environment.
Expertise & qualifications
Professional competence and practical experience
The founders of the Berlin Autism Centre have many years of experience in autism-specific support, therapy and counselling. They played a key role in establishing and developing specialised services in Berlin, bringing broad expertise in leadership, education, therapy and counselling.

- Certified autism therapist – training at the Institute for Autism Research (IFA) in cooperation with the DGVT

We combine scientifically grounded methods with many years of practical experience. Together with children and young people, their families and caregivers we develop individual support. Strengths, resources and needs are just as central as everyday life.

Child protection

The wellbeing of the child and protection from violence are at the centre of our work. We support children, young people and families always on the basis of children’s rights and in close partnership with parents and guardians. The protection mandate under § 8a SGB VIII is firmly anchored in our mission statement and in our institutional protection concept.
All managers are qualified as experienced child protection specialists (iseF) under § 8a SGB VIII and § 4 KKG or are in the corresponding training. They support case workers in risk assessment and structured procedures.

Methodical preparation of parent meetings, case consultation and regular supervision.
